Post-construction / move-out cleaning
After renovation or when moving. The building is handed over ready for use, construction dust included.
Construction dust is finer than household dust and gets into everything: on top of frames, into grilles, behind radiators, into the rebates of windows that were only just installed. Mopping once does not remove it, because the moment the heating comes on it comes down again. So we work top to bottom, in two rounds.
Moving out is the same thing in reverse: the property has to reach the state your lease demands, and that is almost always stricter than people expect.
What happens
- Construction dust removed from every horizontal surface, including the tops of frames and pipework.
- Windows, frames and rebates inside and out, stickers and paint spatter removed.
- Sanitary areas in full, including limescale and cement haze.
- Floors mopped or machine scrubbed, depending on the floor type.
- Kitchen and pantry units inside and out.
What is not included
Removing construction waste, rubble and packaging is not part of a handover clean. If it is still there we cannot work around it. Have it taken away before we arrive, or ask us to come back once more. Both are fine, but it has to be clear beforehand.
Price and planning
This work is always a fixed price and we look at the property first. Estimating a handover clean from square metres alone produces either a price that is too low to be worth anything to you, or one that is too high and that you are right to refuse.
Suits
- Contractors and fit-out firms who have to hand a building over.
- Tenants who have to leave a commercial space in good order.
- New tenants who want to move in without cleaning it themselves first.
