Floor maintenance

A floor that only ever gets mopped slowly goes dull until somebody decides it is worn out. Usually it is not: it is carrying layer upon layer of old maintenance product. Stripping takes that off, coating puts a fresh protective layer on, and after that daily cleaning is enough again.

Carpet works differently. Vacuuming takes out the grit but not the grease in the walkways. Two spray-extraction visits a year on the busiest strips adds years to the life of your flooring.

Drying time, and why it drives your planning

Coating needs drying time: allow an evening plus a night before the floor can be walked on, and a weekend if the whole building is done at once. That is why we schedule this work on a Friday evening or during a closure week. Carpet is walkable again the next morning.

Price and planning

Floor work is a fixed price for the whole job, never post-calculated. We come and look at what is down and what state it is in first. A price per square metre without seeing the floor is a guess, and guessing is exactly where this kind of work goes wrong.
